Welcome
The First Electric Industry Automation Congress (EIAC2013)
13-14 Feb, 2013, Mashhad, IRAN
Electric
industry automation is a window into the process of a plant and
gathering of data from devices in the field and integrates this process
data into the actual business and uses it in real time. The emphasis
today in this field, is on using Open standards such as communication
protocols and off the shelf hardware and software to keep the costs
down. Now, more than ever before, industrial enterprises and utilities
rely on their control systems (SCADA, DCSs, PLCs, RTUs, and IEDs) to
improve their reliability and efficiency. These new systems are proving
even more vulnerable to security breaches and attacks. Today’s complex
and dynamic security environment often requires difficult decisions to
be made. You need to be armed with practical and competent advice in
order to make the correct decisions. Therefore, both tactical and
theoretical solutions are the key to success here.
Therefore,
"The First Electric Industry Automation Congress (EIAC)" is organized
by Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Tavanir Company and Khorasan Regional
Electricity Company. The congress will be held in Mashhad, IRAN, from
13-14 Feb., 2013. The objective of EIAC2013 is to bring together
researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in various aspects
of electric industry automation. The congress tends to provide a forum
for academics, engineers, specialists, and students to meet and discuss
the latest developments in theory, emerging technologies, services and
their applications in related areas. EIAC2013 encourages researchers,
developers and practitioners to organize workshops on various new
emerging topics. Industrial exhibitions and special sessions are held in
conjunction with the main congress. Keynote/plenary talks and panel
discussions are other congress highlights.
The main topics of this congress include (but not limited to):
Protection, control and automation of power plants, power stations and power networks,
Smart grids and micro-smart grids,
Communication and automation in electric industry,
Power electronics,
Security,
Application of pattern recognition in electric industry automation,
Data networks management,
